Questions
Things people often ask
How does a session work?
You choose a therapist, pick an open one-hour time and pay. Once the payment is confirmed the booking is yours, and you and your therapist can message each other before and after.
How much does it cost?
Each therapist sets their own price in Ethiopian birr. You see it on their profile before you book, and there are no surprises at checkout.
How do I pay?
You pay in birr through our payment partner, Chapa. We hold your chosen time for 15 minutes while you complete the payment.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. You can cancel for free until 24 hours before your session, and reschedule a confirmed session up to two times. If your therapist cancels, you get a full refund.
Is what I share kept private?
Yes. Messages are encrypted, therapists can only see the profiles of clients they have a confirmed session with, and access to client records is logged.
Can I find a therapist who speaks Amharic?
Yes. Every therapist lists the languages they work in, and you can filter by language when you search.
Is Dehna for emergencies?
No. If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest hospital.
